As if hearing the Earth herself speak, the message Jitendra received was clear. If we are to survive on our planet, we must collectively open our eyes and senses to a never-before realized connection of love and respect for our embodied experience. The old paradigm of transcendent enlightenment is coming to a close. The unconditional Love to which spiritual seekers and leaders aspire must include one’s relationship with their body and the Earth that sustains it. Jitendra has illuminated this pathway of unconditional loving kindness for the embodied self as Core Mastery Journey.
Core Mastery Journey is surfing the leading edge of our consciousness r-evolution. True evolution incorporates all past manifestations and enfolds them into what is presently becoming. We can no longer treat ANY aspect of self as a hindrance or disposable, with contempt or regret. In order to evolve, and do so with grace as opposed to catastrophe, we need to learn how to open our hearts to dimensions of self that have been judged and rejected for a very long time. There is a cresting wave of realization in human awareness that is sparking a new perspective on spiritual awakening and enlightenment. The human body is now being released from long-held revile. It is being freed from its prison where it has been held as some curse, or trap. Arising is a new and far more integrated vision of celebration and wonder, rather than disdain, for creation and its emergent realities, which include not just the body, but our whole Earth. This is a reclamation of matter, of mother herself (‘mater’ is the Latin root for both matter and mother). This is a shift at an archetypal level. It is a re-balancing of the divine feminine and masculine principles, the manifestation of sacred marriage—union of spirit and matter, heaven and earth. This WILL bring peace, however, it carries one condition as it has through the ages. Love must be chosen, consciously. No one can do it for you. It’s the condition of free will.
This internal restoration of love and dignity, at the core of one’s relationship with one’s own experience, can and will have a dramatic effect on our world at large. This is the Law of One/Resonance/Attraction at its highest and most potent level of expression. The challenge to restoring dignity and Love at this magnitude requires getting to the very core of where fear and hostility, guilt, judgment and shame are held. IT’S NOT IN YOUR MIND although it seems like it is. That’s why there’s such a struggle, because most people’s attention has been on the wrong map. It’s no one’s fault. You can’t know what you don’t know until you know it. That’s why words like ‘revelation’ and ‘awakening’ are popular for such experiences of sudden awareness.
We have been seduced by the potency and nimble nature of the mind to believe it is the be-all and end-all of our reality. Is it the rudder that steers the ship of our existence? Yes, most certainly. But the fallacy in logic within much of new thought lies in the disregard for the self-organized intelligence of matter. Matter ain’t dead. Why, it’s composed of the very consciousness that animates you. It’s like believing it doesn’t matter what children think because they’re not developed enough to be aware of their experience. Fortunately, a good many people have progressed beyond that fatal assumption. How about feelings in animals? Plants? Your body? Read Michael Talbot’s Holographic Universe, then skip to Bruce Lipton’s Biology of Belief. While you’re at it, pick up Candace Pert’s Molecules of Emotion for good measure. That will give you a sound cross sectional primer to help you begin to understand and appreciate the intelligence of your body and the information that is on offer. Can mind dominate matter? Absolutely. The question you want to ask yourself is this; “Which will be more beneficial, domination or synergy?” What happens when a force dominates without regard or understanding for that which it rules? Revolt. Dis-ease. Abuse. Ecological crisis. Terrorism. No, dominance isn’t sustainable. It isn’t loving or kind.
Communication, consideration, empathy, synergy and collaboration—all lead to a healthy organism, a healthy body and a healthy environment on many levels. Core Mastery Journey is taking these meta and macro dynamics of our global condition and scaling them down for up close and personal exploration. It is showing whomever is interested and ready, how each of these larger considerations demonstrates itself in the way you breathe and hold your body. Consider this. The war in the Middle East is fed (notice the word ‘fed’ not ‘caused’) by the internal resistance you perpetuate through the chronic back-pressure in your exhale. Hopefully, this idea gets your attention ignited, positive or negative. An intention for this blog is to instigate thought that drives your thinking beyond the edge of your current map of reality, because it’s outside the edge of your current map that you’ll find what you’re looking for. That’s the nature of evolution and emergence.
A butterfly demonstrates emergence. Let’s say you never saw a butterfly, only heard of one. You watch a caterpillar spin itself into a cocoon and your mind says, “Well, it’s just going to sprout some wings and fly away!” Only, if you opened that cocoon in the middle of it’s metamorphosis, you wouldn’t find a caterpillar. You’d find caterpillar soup. You don’t get a clue as to the butterfly that is to follow. The butterfly as it will emerge, in a radically new form, is completely off the map of your conceptual framework and if you were locked into having that butterfly look like a caterpillar with wings, you would have thought something went horribly wrong inside that cocoon—and maybe even sent the butterfly off to some institution for an operation to be a proper butterfly. Stranger things have happened, you know?
Jitendra spoke recently: “We are no longer being seduced by the silent hum of a somnolent void as an endpoint for existence. We are evolving FROM this void and engaging our wills, not as oppositional maelstroms, but as extensions of the divine creative impulse. We are one with the Creator, the Creation and the process of creation itself. Creators R Us! What a relief! Seekers can finally let go of their covert self-hatred perpetuated by out-moded impressions of what the point of this whole journey is to begin with. It’s not your fault that you haven’t been given straight information. How can it be straight when the path has been so convoluted?
There is great freedom in gently turning a warm smile inward and embracing ‘what is’ to one’s core. The real journey, as I enjoy reflecting, is in re-learning and re-membering HOW to feel one’s self at one’s core—how to make contact when we’ve been collectively allergic to contact. When I say contact, I mean the ability and capacity to engage one’s awareness with the body’s sensory output; the ability to feel below certain habituated thresholds of unconsciousness. The Divine Feminine is revealed in contact. I would say She is contact, in fact, warmth itself. Much more on warmth later. There is a remarkable mystery to the visceral heat generated in a climate of loving kindness.
Embodiment is a function of sensory capacity and awareness and our western civilization has been so entrained to accept shades of clinical shock as normal perception that our bodies, to a remarkable degree, have fallen off our perceptual radar. We don’t really know how to feel ourselves, but we are awakening to a sense of just how important it is. Core Mastery Journey functions as a school to re-train and remember how to feel as well as re-member who you are. A critical aspect of that remembering has to do with your physical heart—what it actually does and how to use it. It’s a tool, an instrument that can be operated manually. Your heart is central to emotional integration and your body’s willingness to allow your consciousness into the most guarded and protected realms, realms that hold the keys to profound individual AND collective healing. Results of engaging your heart in concert with these more deeply held sensory repositories of old and ancient experience, as you might imagine, are no less than astonishing.”
Jitendra is devoted to sparking and empowering this r-evolution in consciousness. When he was 20 years old, sitting and reading from his library of masters, as he loved to do, he was struck by a powerful current of energy and realization, it was a vision of a community living in harmony. For the first few years he thought this meant a physical intentional community, and so he explored and experimented with living in various forms of communal environments, including the ashram of his teacher, Swami Muktananda. Nearly 25 years have passed since Muktananda passed and Jitendra left intentional community living behind. However, that vision still reverberates as a community at large. There are no longer walls and property lines, but an inextricable feeling of a global community. Hearts know no bounds, only Oneness in Love. Loving Oneness beyond culture and creed. This is his vision and mission as it is certainly held by countless others. In unison ~ ALOHA !
